Are you familiar with lemon chicken? I’ve had several versions of it, and this one is my favorite. It uses lemon zest in the breading of the chicken tenders and lemon juice in the creamy sauce served on top of the chicken.

How to Make Zesty Air Fried Lemon Chicken

First, I’ll direct you to this recipe for Air Fried Chicken Tenders. Thanks to the hint of lemon zest and the Pecorino Romano cheese used in the breading, they have a ton of flavor! The zest isn’t overpowering, so this is my go-to recipe for dinners that begin with chicken tenderloins. Air-frying is so easy! The result is a chicken strip that isn’t greasy but is crispy and good.

Then, while the chicken tenders are cooking in the air fryer, you’ll make the sauce to turn them into the culinary masterpiece of Zesty Air Fried Lemon Chicken! By optimizing your cooking time this way, you’ll be able to get dinner on the table in about a half hour. Simple!

When you make this, you’ll have extra sauce. We used a little of it to top our rice and vegetables.
